LA Mayor Villaraigosa and City Council Spend, Spend, Spend,
Tax, Tax, Tax

http://www.electionforum.org

The Los Angeles Mayor and City Council are once again promoting themselves as fiscally responsible—if “fiscally responsible” means spending every last dime.

For example, the current L.A. budget has $717 million more revenue than the year before.

And the city still spent every last penny.

They didn't provide a taxpayer rebate. Nor did they create an emergency fund. Nor did they reduce spending. They just spent the extra revenue blindly.

And then to add insult to injury, they raised taxes by increasing the trash hauling fees.

What Los Angeles needs—and really, most other cities need too—is an advocate for the abused taxpayer.
